500 students, 202 contacts, 4 career fairs and 1 stolen cable
This year, we hit the road again to meet students—future developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and creatives. And we didn’t sit idly by. We made it to four student career fairs:
- HIT career in Hradec Králové
- COFIT in Prague
- iCareer in Brno (our second time there)
- Job Fair In Pilsen — which we attended for the first time.
In total, 11 Quanties took part in the events, talking to over 500 students.
And there was definitely a lot to talk about! Students were most curious about how to balance work and studies, whether remote work is possible, and how often they really “have to come into the office.”(Short answer: “We’re flexible.”)
You left us 202 contacts via our form, which is really cool.
We’re already getting in touch with those students whenever a new internship, junior role, or exciting opportunity comes up.
Angular is alive!
At HIT Career in Hradec, we also had the chance to give a talk. Our colleague Vlada Blažek stepped up with a session titled Angular is not dead yet.
“In recent years, Angular has been seen by some frontend developers as the black sheep. But 2024 was a renaissance. Let’s look at what it can do today and whether it deserves our attention in 2025.“
Spoiler: It does.
And the packed audience confirmed that Angular still has plenty to offer.
COFIT through our teams's eyes
But it wasn’t all serious tech talk at the fairs. Our team at COFIT walked away not just with impressions, but with some memorable experiences too.
As Honza Vepřek put it:
“At times we had queues at our booth. The card game was a hit, as always, and the merch disappeared fast—especially socks and cables. Compared to previous years, there were more ‘seasoned’ merch collectors (one grandpa actually stole a cable), but also more people interested in DevOps, which made me happy—I could direct them straight to our DevOps colleague.“
This year, we prepared a special brochure for students called Guide to Our Universe, giving a behind-the-scenes peek into life at Quanti.
At the booth, students could also enter a fun quiz: guess the technology from its logo and win a stylish pair of socks. Plus, there were fresh new laptop stickers, delicious chocolates, pens, and more.
We’re glad we got to meet so many students. It’s always rewarding when people are interested not just in what we do—but how we do it and who we are.
Since Quanti itself was born out of a group of students from CTU, we know how important it is to give new talent a chance.
So – thank you to all the universities for organizing, and to all the students for the warm atmosphere and interest.
We’re already looking forward to next time!
PS: Here are the answers to the 5 tech logos we posted on our socials:
1) Kotlin
2) Angular
3) Vue.js
4) Next.js
