Quanti at C-STS 2025

Once again, the castle in Mikulov hosted leading experts in cybersecurity, AI, energy, and virtual reality. The Czech – Slovak Technology Summit 2025, organized by CEDEG, was packed with inspiring topics and concrete technologies that are reshaping our world. And Quanti was proud to be part of it.

Our co-founder Marek Polčák, also the mind behind the VRgineers brand, actively contributed to the program, both with his keynote and as a panel participant.

VR: What’s really behind the headset?

In his talk, Marek explained just how complex VR technology truly is and why it shouldn’t be compared to regular television.

While a 4K TV screen handles 8.3 million pixels at 30 Hz, the high-end Somnium VR1 headset renders that same number of pixels twice—once for each eye—at a frequency of 120 Hz.

The result is a data stream exceeding 65 Gbit/s, which places extreme demands not only on cabling but also on GPU performance and transmission protocol

Where does virtual reality make the most sense?

From experience, we know that virtual and mixed reality provide the greatest value in training and simulation of complex scenarios.

Typical examples include NASA simulators, helicopter flight training, including flying backward, or training for machine operators and complex manufacturing processes.

Where precision, safety, and coordination are critical, virtual environments offer ideal conditions—without risk or costly real-world testing, and with the benefit of repeatability.

Why Mikulov?

The summit in Mikulov attracts not only industry and research professionals but also tech enthusiasts eager to see where the world is heading. That’s exactly why we’re there too.

We want to be at the heart of it all—listening to what’s driving the tech world and sharing our own experiences. We believe that merging software and hardware development paves the way for impactful solutions—and that these two worlds don’t just coexist but can actively push each other forward.
