temptraining: Educational Platform in Switzerland

Website
Website

Our client, temptraining is a Swiss agency that supports temporary workers in their professional development by reimbursing approved training courses. Together with our partner Ambit, a CRM provider, we embarked on a digital transformation of their system. The goal was to simplify the process, make it more accessible to users, and increase the number of applications for training support.

Solution

We designed and developed a new user portal for temptraining that:

  • is fully responsive and available as a PWA for easy access from mobile devices,
  • offers intuitive account management for temporary workers and employment agencies,
  • enables external identity verification using selfies and documents through the IDnow service,
  • provides an overview of available courses with the option to suggest a new ones,
  • supports the complete reimbursement application lifecycle – from pre-approval to final reimbursement.

We integrated the portal with a new CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and migrated data from the old system. Our development focused was on clarity and user-friendliness. Based on real data, we conducted a comprehensive UI/UX analysis to identify and eliminate obstacles in the application process.

Result

30% year-over-year growth achieved in the number of applications.

Doubled the amount of active users following the launch of the portal.

Faster approval process

The new portal significantly streamlined the reimbursement application process and increased the number of applications for educational support. Users appreciate the simple interface, the ability to manage their accounts via mobile devices, and the intuitive course listings. The optimized system also shortened the approval process compared to the previous setup.

This project demonstrated how modern technology can make education more accessible to a wider audience and simplify administration for both users and organizations.

Challenges
and learnings

The project presented several challenges:

  • Data  migration – transferring data from the old CRM system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 lead to a huge number of inconsistencies and required portal to be flexible and take users step by step to fix those issues.
  • Complex internal regulations – the course approval process is governed by numerous rules and directives, such as validity periods and user requirements. These rules change, but thanks to regular meetings with the client, we can respond promptly and adjust as needed.
  • Tight timeline – the project had an ambitious deadline, which we managed to meet thanks to an agile approach and continuous feedback.
